To design is much more than simply to assemble, to order. It is to add value and meaning, to illuminate, to simplify, to clarify, to modify, to dignify, to dramatise, to persuade, and perhaps even to amuse. To design is to transform prose into poetry.

Chrisna Meyer (née Barnard) completed her studies in 2001 in the bustling city of Pretoria. She then moved to Cape Town to start her professional career. Her main goal was to gain as much experience as possible in the design industry before living her dream – running her own business. The companies where she worked, gave her invaluable experience in a wide variety of disciplines in different arenas.

 

After six years, Chrisna’s hard work finally paid off. 4ID (Previously known as 4d-zign) was established and was run as a sole proprietorship. It was a great success due to the fact that Chrisna has a gift in understanding what her clients want and a special ability to convert their dreams into living reality. No job is too big or too small. Even when deadlines are tight Chrisna ensures that the end result is of outstanding quality.

4ID is not just about Interior Design, but also about IDentity. Every client is different; each space is unique. We do interior design that keeps the individualism and personality of the client in mind and that reaches its core identity. Why go to so much trouble?
